Obscured by Clouds

Yet Another Movie

Get it? Yet Another Movie? It's a Pink Floyd joke.

Anyway this album is significantly better than More. Every song on here is super solid. Probably the first Pink Floyd album that you can say that about. The title track is good. "When You're In" is good. "Burning Bridges" Is very good! One of my top picks from this album. "The Gold It's In The..." Is fun too. I really love the acoustic guitar part in "Wot's... Uh The Deal". super good song. That song through the end of the album is killer. Not a bad song. Just overall a very consistent and good album from the Floyd. This album doesn't have the feel of a soundtrack. It feels like an album that the band made on their own with the way it flows.

My favorite track on the album is "Childhood's End". David's singing is great on it and I enjoy the lyrics. I also really like the guitar solo on the song.

Notably, some of the lyrics from "Free Four" were recently repurposed for Roger's Waters' Dark Side of the Moon Redux. In my opinion one of the only notable or good things about that album.

Overall, good album. Although I've given nothing but praise to this album in my review, I would still take AHM over this. I just love those tracks and find myself going back to them a lot more than the tracks on Obscured By Clouds. Obscured is a good album but not a jaw-dropping album.
