Room For Squares

Room For Squares

I begin my quest to review the John Mayer discography with his very first album. And arguably his best! I was surprised how good it is. Guy was pretty young and this is his first label release. Good job John.

No Such Thing is an awesome album opener. Why Georgia is super good too. My Stupid Mouth is growing on me. Wasn’t one of my favorite songs upon first listen. Your Body is a Wonderland is undeniably good but it’s not one of my personal favorites from the album. Neon is obviously class but I do prefer the acoustic live versions of the song. Still great though.

City Love is actually one of my favorites. So good and I really like the Simon and Garfunkel nod. 83 is good too as well as 3x5. The rest of the album is actually the weakest part of the album in my opinion but it’s by no means bad.

What a debut album! This guy could be good…
